Generally our climate is characterized by mild winters and hot summers. Winter - December/January/February With the exception of swimming (except in heated pools) almost all outdoor activities can be enjoyed during the winter months. Swing Season - March/April/October/November Many people consider the spring and autumn seasons on Hilton Head Island to be the best. The azalea flowering season is truly lovely. In March we have a month long Springfest and in April the Island hosts the Heritage Golf Tournament and the Family Circle Tennis Tournament. All outdoor activities can be enjoyed during both these seasons. Summer - May/June/July/August/September The summers in the area are hot and perfect beach weather. The average daytime temperature stays in the eighties or nineties and the ocean temperature in the seventies and eighties. Hilton Head Weather Information
